English Apple bag

The English Apple tote bag is made from various recycled fabrics found in opportunity shops around Melbourne and Euroa in Victoria. The bag has an internal zip pocket and a standard pocket. The handle is made from cotton twill fabric, which makes a very strong handle. The printed selvedge from the English Apple fabric is used as a trim between the two main fabrics, adding an interesting touch with information about when the fabric was made and the name of the designer – adds a quirky touch!

About Theresa

My mother taught me to sew and knit when I was six years old. I had a toy sewing machine that really worked and I made clothes for my dolls. Later, I made clothes for myself as a teenager, then for my children when they were young. Now I love to discover vintage and recycled fabric, rescue them from the bottom shelves of opportunity shops and transform them in to bags and soft toys. As Seams Different, I love to see old fabric given new life, bringing colour and floral patterns out of the dark and in to the world where they belong.
